Onward MetaPhy

Onward. It’s an adverb defined as, “in a continuing forward direction; ahead.” It is also an adjective defined as, “going further rather than coming to an end or halt; moving forward; advancing, progressing, progressive.”


It’s been said that the only time we should look back is to see how far we’ve come. It’s also been said that our eyes are placed in front because it is more important to look ahead than to look back. We’d say that both are critically important.


As MetaPhy looks ahead and moves onward toward an exciting-looking 2022, it seems to make sense to take a moment to reflect on and celebrate the transformative milestones and accomplishments we experienced in 2021. These include:


  • Achieved over 105% growth in the number of patients from December 2020 to December 2021, ending the year with ~15,000 active patients in our program

  • Signed partnership agreements with 26 new practices across the country, representing 207 new physicians

  • Implemented a remote work-from-home model for our Virtual Care Team

  • Hired and/or internally promoted 17 associates to new roles within our Corporate Operations Team

  • Expanded our physical corporate office space

  • Developed a digital media and video strategy to share information with patients, physicians, and practices

  • Awarded the first MetaPhy Health/Robert B. Faber M.D. Dependent Scholarship

  • Implemented an internal training department

  • Implemented an internal quality department and developed internal scorecards and metrics

  • Implemented an internal operational analytics department

  • Enhanced patient satisfaction surveys

  • Sponsored and reaffirmed affiliation with MidSouth Liver Alliance

  • Implemented a MetaPhy Monthly newsletter with a focus on all things MetaPhy, including a monthly spotlight on specific departments

  • Defined focus initiatives with the overall goal of providing an exceptional virtual experience for our patients

  • Signed a master services agreement with GI Alliance, which is the largest physician-led GI network in the US with over 150 GI centers across 8 states

  • Implemented a pilot program to support and manage pediatric patients with chronic conditions

  • Launched internal dashboards with detailed program analytics

  • Implemented an EMR interface with Allscripts

  • Developed a 24-month patient pathway including content, digital media, gamification, motivation, nutrition, and patient satisfaction components

  • Enhanced our in-house MetaPhy University curriculum

  • Implemented a Common Grounds leadership development program for new managers


As we look towards 2022, our focus continues to be on improving and enhancing the services we provide to our Patients, Programs, Physicians, and People through our Platform.
